Dedicated To Improving the Miniature Australian Shepherd Breed
International Champion Dusty Boots Shiraz

A striking red-bi, Razz won the IABCA International Championship in October of 2006.  Razz's hips: OFA Good, elbows: OFA Normal and her eyes: CERF Normal.  It's our belief that this 16" girl is one of the nicest examples of the Miniature Australian Shepherd breed around. She is blessed with wonderful alertness, an enthusiastic personality and an incredible presence. She has proven to be a wonderful Mom-producing some outstanding progeny.  Six of her nine 2006 puppies evaluated as show quality according to Pat Hastings.  On October 9, 2007, Razz blessed us with a new litter of future champions.  Click here to meet them.
National Champion Polly-now retired

Polly is our athlete. She's a 15 inch red-tri already adept at soccer-kick the ball as hard as you can and she'll push it back to you with her snout (100 yards is not uncommon). She also understands how to "head" the ball or use her chest to knock the ball down. Basketball is another skill-no more retrieving missed shots around her, Polly will push those airballs back to you. She was a Mom for the first and only time in 2006 as she was bred to Dually (see above). All 4 puppies tested as show/breed quality.  3 of the pups won their Championships at only four months of age-on the same day!  Polly's hips are OFA Excellent and in the 80th percentile on the PennHip scale. Eyes are CERF Normal.  Her MDR-1 is Normal/Normal. Polly enjoy herding lessons at Ken Leigh Acres in Dexter, OR and is now working our sheep regularly.
International Champion Pollux-now retired

Pollux arrived at Dusty Boots in September of 2006.  He is one of nicest and truest Miniature Australian Shepherds ever bred.  Besides being incredibly warm, Pollux has won his share of conformation titles including being put up as one of the top dogs in the breed in 2002 at the ARBA/NAMASCUSA Nationals.  Pollux comes from legendary bloodlines at Patchwork Farms.  His mom is Wanna'be Rag-A-Muffin, one of the most influential bitches throughout the formulative years of this new breed (the 90's).  Pollux produced some awesome puppies over the past several years but is now retired. Pollux is 17 inches tall and 40 pounds.  His OFA score is Excellent and he has been CERF cleared.  At nearly 10, Pollux is "old school" but the younger guys don't have anything on him.  Quality is truly timeless!

Junior International Champion Dually

Dually is a rock-solid Aussie.  He is the exact model for our program: a more historically correct version of the beloved Australian Shepherd.  At 16 inches and 30 pounds, this "Mini" Aussie is very much like the original Australian Shepherds that were imported into the United States in the 20's-before the Aussie was bred up in size.  Dually has all the natural instincts and a one-of-a-kind personality.  He's loyal and incredibly affectionate.  He's high-energy and at the same time, mature enough to lay quietly or ride in the truck all day.  You won't find a better Aussie ambassador-in any size package. Through his first two seasons, Dually produced several conformation Champions. We do expect Dually pups again in the Spring of 2008. Dually's hips are OFA Good, his elbows are OFA Normal and his eyes have been CERF cleared.  His MDR test was Normal/Normal.

Stormy is the daughter of our foundation bitch Razz and as a puppy she quickly claimed her IABCA Int'l Jr. Championship (she was alos best of breed) in addition to winning Best in Show Puppy at Rarities.

In April of 2008, Stormy scored big at IABCA show in Albany, Oregon winning Best of Breed, Winner's Bitch, Best of Winners and Bred By in addition to her National and International adult
Championships.

Stormy is MDR Normal/Normal, CERF Normal and her hips are in the 80th percentile according to Penn-Hip.

We are expecting her first litter later this year.

International Champion Dusty Boots Silver Storm

We're keeping our fingers crossed that we've found something special with this beautiful red-tri female.  Havannah is a product of our friend Ruth Vanderhoof at Pocket Aussies. She traveled all the way to St. Louis to make her show debut-that's a long way from Oregon!  It was worth the trip though, as Havannah scored her Junior International Championship at the beautiful Purina Farms facility. Havannah has a laid-back personality but does get fired up when it's her turn on the sheep.  She's really taken to dog scootering, too and is becoming a powerful puller. Now two years old, Havannah seems to be coming into her own.  Havannah's hips are in the 80th percentile on the PennHip scale.  CERF is Normal. Her MDR 1 results are Normal/Normal.
Jr. International Champion Havannah
Jr. International Champion Huntington

This guy is the life of the party!  Huntington is a big guy that we expect to be a cornerstone of our program for years to come.  He hails from an outstanding new breeder, McFinley Aussies in Olympia, Washington.  Hunt has number of remarkable champion Aussies and Mini Aussies in his pedigree.

Hunt is easy to work with and is a very fast learner. While maturing into a handsome young man, he is doing a wonderful job mastering his agility class.

Hunt is MDR Normal/Normal and CERF Normal.

Jr. International Champion Patchworks Blue Ribbon
We are very excited about our newest addition.  Ribbon is a strikingly-marked little blue merle with the classic Patchworks look.  Her pedigree includes many of our favorite mini Aussies.  Ribbon is nearly 14 inches (on the small side like her mom-Patchworks Delilah) and it proving to be very biddable.  She is gaining in confidence everyday-largely because of her agility lessons and weekly 4H meetings.  In October '07, Ribbon made her showring debut claiming her puppy championships at the IABCA show in Enumclaw, Washington.  MDR 1 test is Mutant/Normal.
Jr. International Champion
Dusty Boots Just Hummin' Along

Hummer is an up & coming, versatile dog.

He showed his prowess in the showring by claiming his Jr. International Championship in April.  He's already began agility training and he's dying to get going on the sheep.

Hummer is MDR Normal/Normal and his CERF clearance is Normal.
